    Elegant stay in the heart

    Our Beautiful Room was spacious and quiet, with excellent lighting and a coffee machine that delighted us each morning. The breakfast was really good, with a variety of made-to-order options.

    the staff were very polite and amiable and helped us with private parking. the service in general was friendly. location very close to the center facing to the main square, the main town square, and restaurant. delicious food in the restaurants such as shakespeares, located 5 min away.

    This hotel is perfectly situated to visiting this charming city. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast buffet abundant with choices. The staff was helpful with suggestions of places to see and with directions.

    Excellent service; a place to smoke cigars; excellent food; lots of history(Hitler stayed there and caused the place to be remodeled before WW!!). Understated luxury with a great location.

    Really enjoyed our fairly quiet rooms in this place.

    The location was marvellous and incredible, close to Gingko museum. It was easy to get Wheelchair Accessible room with good bed, a comfortable bathroom and ac and that's great.

    The breakfast featured a wide variety of made-to-order options, including delicious eggs and fresh orange juice, making mornings good.

    The heating system was complicated to operate, and I found the room uncomfortably warm during the night.

    We made a booking 10 days before my stay. Once we arrived a substandard room was given to us. The room on a 1 floor , a window was by a roof that was under construction : dirty , full of building materials and bad smell. Since the hotel has no aircondition , to keep normal temperature the window should have been opened what was not possible due to the above mentioned repair of the roof. After short discussion at the reception we were offered very good room. At the hotel of this class such situation should not have happened.

    The location is excellent. The hotel has strong literary associations and is a good base for exploring the very beautiful town of Weimar.

    The elegance and quality of furnishing of the lobby and public spaces are not matched in the bedrooms which need a remodelling/upgrading for this to be a truly luxury hotel and justify the bar and wi-lan costs.
